The role of the Project Manager consultant is to reinforce the project management team for the execution stage of the project (update of the project mandate/brief, development of the project plans and of several Statement of Work and System Requirement Specifications as required, project management and control and quality assurance), according to the project management and acquisition processes in place in NATO and at NC3A.

The FinS project management framework is already in place, in line with NATO and NC3A directives and guidelines and shall serve as the basis for the roll out of FinS to ISAF and to Phase 2 sites.

The Project Manager consultant contribution shall support the successful execution, within the agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality, of the remaining scope of the FinS project.

Generator Repair & Overhaul Engineer

Introduction: Our client based in Stoke on Trent is a market leader in the rental , industrial, military, government and event market sectors, they specialise in providing Power generation and air handling systems via a rapid service when needed from conferences and exhibition climate control to the food manufacturing, processing and storage industries.

Due to continued expansion our client has an immediate requirement for a Generator Repair & Overhaul Engineer who will be based in the workshop and will be responsible for fault finding and repair of a variety of generators ranging from 20kva up to 750kva. It is essential for this role that you have a proven ability of stripping down machinery, investigating and identifying faults in order to repair or replace parts and ensure that the generator is back up in good working order.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF), Royal Signals, REME, Royal Engineers and held a position within a similar role.

Responsibilities:

This is a workshop role and you will be dealing with all faulty generator equipment that has be returned by customers.
Strip down generator equipment and carry out first inspections to identify faults.
You will be required to clean up the equipment and also replace any parts needed.
Please be aware that often this machinery comes back and there are no instructions as to what the fault is so you will be required to start from scratch so your knowledge of generators need to be vast.
Once the machinery has been repaired you will be required to test the equipment to ensure that it is back to good working order and operating to maximum efficiency.
Be a 'hands on' engineer within the workshop in order to repair and maintain all equipment.
Ensure that all relevant parts are available at all times.
Order new parts.
Co-ordinate repairs and maintenance activity.
Monitor quality and ensure that all of the companies quality standards are adhered as well as ensuring a level of consistency.
Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered.
You must also be flexible as there will be overtime required throughout busy periods.

Responsible for visiting countries where the Group has business interests to identify training needs, develop and provide technical training courses for company customers and employees to ensure they perform their job duties efficiently, effectively and in a safe manner. Focus should apply to quality of repair, compliance with the manufacturer requirements and right first time fix.

Key Responsibilities: Develop/update the competency-based programs and training models in co-operation with the management for the after-sales department of each employee.

Deliver on the job coaching to the required standard to meet fully the requirements and needs of the employees and customers
Develop required training materials (course outline, background material, & training aids) for students (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, certificates, & evaluation forms) in line with training requirements and according to standards of manufacturer

Conduct post training evaluations to assess competency level of employees and provide feedback to line supervisors
