The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation

Wednesday 11 November 2009 2:48 PM
The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation is delighted to announce that Pryors Bank Café Apprentice Duane Telfer has been named Training for Life's Apprentice of the Year.

This magnificent achievement was awarded to Duane in recognition not only of his undoubted culinary talents but also due to the difficulties and barriers which Duane has overcome to achieve the successful completion of his NVQ2 in hospitality.

A former infantry solider in the 1st Battalion, Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, Duane is currently completing his NVQ3 in hospitality at Pryors Bank Café.

Duane was presented with his award by Lord Bilimoria; Chairman of Cobra and champion of the apprentice scheme in a prestigious ceremony last week.
