Hastings Direct insurance company creates 200 new jobs

Two hundred jobs are being created by an insurance company based in Sussex.

Hastings Direct, which employs more than 1,100 people, said the posts were in addition to 400 new jobs created this year.

The Bexhill-based company said it would be recruiting across the jobs spectrum, from entry level to senior management.

The expansion is being driven by continued business growth from its car, home, van and bike insurance products, after its profits trebled in 2011.
