Last week I joined Gemini Forces as a recruitment consultant and have thus far really enjoyed my time working with the team. Working with Harry Dean and his son, Neil Dean, has been an educational and motivating experience. Since they are BOTH from service backgrounds they are extremely focused and driven in their effort to place other ex servicemen back into civilian work positions. The positions offered are specifically chosen jobs that can access and utilise transferable and specific skills that an applicant may have from training carried out as a serviceman.
Coming from working in the education sector I am looking to focus on training and education positions that may be relevant for ex servicemen. This could include college lecturer positions who have experience in certain trades such as engineering, metal work, plumbing etc. Finding my feet with the company has been a swift process and socially the vibe in the office is upbeat and motivated, qualities that I feel are passed on to our applicants and clients when filling vacancies.
